24 hour workout
From rugby training to racing - the only catch being you were wrapped up as an Egyptian Mummy - St Bede's annual 24-Hour workout had the usual array of eccentric activities and ensured everyone's enthusiasm stayed high, even in the small hours of the morning.
Nearly 100 students took part in the ‘workout' which started at 2pm Saturday and finished at 2pm Sunday. Other students and staff made sure that there were constant supplies of food and drink for the ‘workers'.
Hour sessions included Yoga, Primary Games, the Crocodile (South African for Conga) and Meditation.
As always the event was in aid of the Kabubbu School in Uganda. The school is based in Kabubbu Village which is run by the Hailsham based charity, The Quicken Trust and is a school for children who have been orphaned through AIDS. Every summer a group of students and teachers from St Bede's travel to Uganda to work in the village and teach in the school.
