A class act for swimming ace Stephanie
The Senior St Bede’s swimmers journeyed to Sheffield for the Burns Open Meet at Ponds Forge. As this is the venue for the National Championships there is always a buzz of anticipation of good performances to come and Stephanie Ketley (16) certainly did not disappoint.
With a fistful of National Qualifying times already, Steph was the class act for St Bede’s as she lowered her times further in an impressive display over a long and tiring weekend that included four National times: 200m Back 2.26.13, 100m Free 1.00.81, 200m Free 2.09.95, 50m Free 28.15.
Harriet Lambourne (15) again went under the mark for the 100m Fly (1.05.28) and 200m Fly (2.21.28).
Michael Faber (17) kept up the standard on the 100m Free (54.61).
