Army Cadets meet the GOC

Army Cadets from a number of local detachments were asked to help at a fund raising event for the Army Benevolent Fund at Herstmonceaux Castle recently. The guest of honour was the Head of the British Army, General Officer Commanding, Sir David Richards. During an interval he was delighted to meet the cadets, who had been involved in welcoming over 300 invited guests, as well as several hundred other visitors. He spent several minutes talking to all of the cadets and also to the cadet organiser, former St Bede’s student Under Officer Abi Shepherd, who runs the Heathfield Detachment.
