Ben Boorman tennis champion

Eleven-year-old Ben Boorman from St Bede’s Prep School has recently won the Amherst U12 Boys’ Singles tennisTournament.

The first set was a breeze with Ben winning it 6-0 then, when a couple of net calls went against him and his opponent picked up his game, the second set went with serve until 3-3. At this point Ben's head dropped, the racquet hit the ground a couple of times and with a few wild shots he lost the second set 3-6. Finally Ben managed to pull himself together and returned to his ‘ripping’ ways winning the third set championship tie break 10-5.
