Clean sweep champions

St Bede's Senior School are the proud winners of all five Sussex Tennis titles this year following Helen Clements and Becki Nash's capture this week of the U15 Sussex Shield, beating Burgess Hill 3-0. The previous week Elliot Moyle and Simon Riva retained the U15 Boys shield by beating Lancing College 3-0. St Bede's Boys B team, Mikhail Leys and Gabriel Davies looked very impressive throughout the championship, but were beaten in the semi-final by the St Bede's A team.

This has been a fantastic summer for St Bede's tennis with the school winning all five Sussex titles on offer and a somewhat inexperienced U15 Boys team remaining unbeaten.

St Bede's Boys U15 Tennis team: Elliot Moyle, Simon Riva, Mikhail Leys and Gabriel Davies have won the Sussex Independent League beating Ardingly, Worth, Christ's Hospital and Lancing College.

St Bede's has now successfully defended all three Sussex Independent Boys Titles at U18, U16 and U15.

Jarryd Bant played in qualifying for the ATP Tour Eastbourne Tournament losing in the 1st round to the experienced Davis Cup player Ross Hutchings. The result is some respects irrelevant but the experience invaluable.

Former students Adam Hassan and Scott Sears have been hitting with the female stars in their preparation for Eastbourne. Adam has hit with former World Number 1 Jelena Jankovic, current World Number 6, Vera Zvonareva World Number 7, Caroline Wozniaki World Number 9 and Nadia Petrova World Number 10 whilst Scott has done a few hits with current World Number 13 and former French Open Winner and World Number 1 Ana Ivanovic.
