Clean Sweep For Mini Tennis Players from St Bede's Prep School!

The tennis players from St Bede's Prep School took all the titles in the Sussex County Championships recently, held at St Bede's Prep School, Eastbourne. Thirteen teams from all over Sussex competed in the Annual Mini Tennis Championships for Under 7, 8 and 9s.

The events were a girls team singles, a boys team singles and a mixed event. The young tennis players from St Bede's managed a clean sweep in all events. The girls team winners included Charlotte Brown, Ariana Dowse, Saffy Dowse and Lucy Shuttleworth. The boy's team winners included Nick Carter, Daniel Bailey, Harry Wooten, Ben Gayler. Mixed team winners were Polly McCarthy, Amelia Baron, Tom Gordon, Tom Trenaman.

The mixed team winners have qualified into an event to be played on the finals day of The Aegon International Pre Wimbledon Tournament at Devonshire Park in June.
