Dancing with the stars

Two stars of the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet - Sébastien Bertaud and Julie Martel - came to St Bede's Prep School to share their passion and vision of dance as part of the Eastbourne Youth Arts Festival. This was an act of extraordinary generosity by these two very busy, professional dancers. Sébastien gave workshops to all 400 children at the Prep School on the Friday and then he and Julie gave both Contemporary and Classical workshops to over 100 children from Eastbourne all day Saturday and Sunday. All of the workshops were free and sponsored by St Bede's Prep School. Participants of all of the workshops were quite simply transported to another level of dance by Sébastien and Julie and came out of their experience glowing, motivated and completely inspired. As one happy pupil said, 'It was an awesome, magical experience!'
