E-Safety Presentation for Trust Parents Wednesday 28 September

There is an E-Safety evening specifically for parents on Wednesday, 28th September. This is to be held in the dining hall at the Prep school, Eastbourne, starting at 18:45.
The evening will be led by Ken Corish, a teacher himself, but also an Industry expert in E-Safety who has presented to numerous organisations around the country.
Whilst the focus will be on the technology that our pupils and students are currently engaging with, there will also be helpful hints for parents about what to look out for and how to help your children interact safely in the online world.
The dangers in the virtual world can have just as many consequences as those that we come across in our daily lives. Indeed, they are now even more prevalent; for example, a person’s online reputation could affect job applications, admission to educational institutions or UCAS applications.
This evening should add to your awareness and understanding of these risks and help you and your child to manage them accordingly.

We would appreciate it if you could please reply via email (esafetyevent@stbedesschool.org) by 16th September with the number of people attending so that the appropriate catering arrangements can be made.
