Eco matters
St Bede's Prep School is going green! In one of several schemes, the pupils are being encouraged to naturally recycle their fruit and vegetable waste. The school is participating in Generation Green a project sponsored by British Gas. Every time the school engages in a ‘green action' it is rewarded with ‘leaves'. St Bede's Prep School has been participating in the scheme for a while and has already gained quite a few leaves to put towards their 46000 target. Once the target is reached, the school can claim green rewards such as the ‘composters' seen in the photo, educational kits and maybe even the chance to sponsor an acre of Bolivian rainforest! Led by Mr Adam Brewer, Eco-Coordinator, and his team of Eco-Representatives (as pictured) the pupils are being taught that by changing a few small things we can all do our part in saving the planet - and it can be fun too!
