Environmental Scientists Study Conservation In Action
Each year the Environmental Science department runs two trips to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent. These trips give our students the opportunity to find out about the conservation work of zoos, both in the UK and in the field. St Bede’s pupils have been lucky enough to see the largest herd of Black Rhino outside of Africa, have travelled by safari truck to see family groups of gorillas, giraffe and various antelope and have enjoyed learning about many other rare and endangered species.
