Fancy a Run?

Fancy a Run?

After completing the inaugural Brighton Marathon in March, two St Bede’s teachers, Mr Reynolds and Mr Waterhouse will run a 56 mile South African ultra-marathon, The Comrades, on Sunday 30th May. This event from Pietermaritzberg to Durban was started many years commemorate fallen comrades in arms. They will be joining an expected field of 23,000, including about 1,500 from outside South Africa, and hope to complete the run in around 10 hours

Mr Waterhouse is following in his father’s footsteps and fulfilling a lifelong ambition. Mr Reynolds has a history of doing silly things, having run the Marathon des Sables in 2002, a distance of 150 miles across the Sahara Desert.

They hope to raise a large sum in sponsorship for their nominated charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust - www.teenagecancertrust.org. As they enjoy the privilege of working with so many wonderful young people at St Bede's, the pair cannot think of a worthier cause.

If you wish to support their cause please either e mail Mr Reynolds on david.reynolds@stbedeschool.org or give directly at www.justgiving.com/Reynoldus. Any help will be hugely appreciated.
