Felix heads for RADA
St Bede's drama scholar Felix Auer has won a place on on the Acting Foundation course at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
Felix joined St Bede's Senior School from Germany two years ago in the Lower 6th form and was a student of both Theatre Studies and Performing Arts and this summer he gained B grades at A Level for both subjects.
He played major roles in St Bede's production of Phantom of the Opera and played the lead role of Macheath in The Threepenny Opera as well as making significant contributions to powerful A-level pieces such The Crucible, Refugeesia, the wacky Woman who Cooked her Husband and the charming final piece The Untold Story of Peaseblossom, Cobweb and Mustardseed.
Felix grew in confidence and stature in his time at St Bede's and demonstrated that he could work at a very high level as both an actor and singer - and all of this in his second language, which was quite an achievement. We will follow his progress with interest in the years to come. Felix joins a long line of former St Bede's drama students who have gone on to schools such as Guildhall, Mountview, East 15 and Central School of Speech and Drama.
