Fireworks Night

Remember, Remember the 5th of November! As always this year’s firework party at St Bede’s Prep School was one to be remembered!

The attractions were in abundance, some of which included ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Charlie’s Chocolate Challenge’, ‘Rise above the rest’ and a fantastic face painting stand and for those of us whose main attraction of bonfire night is the food there was certainly no disappointment there. Fat Sam’s burgers, Humphrey Bogart’s hot dogs and the Chicago chilli along with the Guy Fawkes’ Cocktail were all on the menu!

The Newbery cricket Batting and Bowling Challenge was definitely popular, with the chance to win two full-size Newbery bats autographed by local cricketing heroes! On hand to give some tips were former England test Cricketer James Keirtley and Sussex Cricketer Ollie Rayner.

The Prep School dining hall and courtyard was buzzing with excitement and laughter as the huge Hollywood theme firework display went off with a bang. Mesmerised by the colours silence swept through the air and was shortly followed by a huge cheer and gasp of excitement as each firework exploded. As the display came to an end it was without a doubt that everyone had enjoyed a fantastic night.
