Hockey Teams in Sussex Finals

After weeks of preliminary rounds of matches both the 1st XI Girls and the U15 Girls Hockey teams are through to the finals of the Sussex Knock-out Cup to be played on the 2nd December at Ardingly.

The 1st teams road to the final was not as hazardous as the U15s, winning 13-0 against Ardingly, 7-0 against Burgess Hill and 10-0 against St Leonards- Mayfield. They will mee Millais in the final. The players have been outstanding this year and with only 4 players leaving, it bodes well for next year.

Along their route to the final, the U15 team beat Lancing College 5-1, Millais 1-0 and Hurstpierpoint 2-1. They will meet St Leonards-Mayfield in the final on the same day as the 1st team. This team has progressed in leaps and bounds over the last 12 months as was shown by the play in the semi-final and the enjoyment that could be seen and heard from the sideline.
