Lams' Doubles Victory

On Saturday 15th January St Bede’s Prep School entered a badminton team into the 34th IAPS Badminton tournament held at St Paul’s Prep School in London. More than 17 schools entered and over 22 pairs competed for the prestigious U13 title. This competition was split into two categories U13 and U11 and is a Doubles competition.

St Bede’s Prep siblings, 12-year-old Adam and 13-year-old Amber Lam teamed up to represented the school. The duo confidently beat all opponents in their group and made the finals convincingly.

In the final they played Bedford School and went on to win 21-12. This result seemed even more impressive as the St Bede’s Prep School pair were the only mixed sex pair in the tournament.
