St Bede's Senior School's Luke Wells has been selected for the U19 England Cricket team, to play in the 2nd test against Bangladesh from the 12-15th July at Derby County Cricket Club. Luke, who is 18 years old, will be representing his country a year young.

Former Sussex captain and England player Alan Wells who is Luke's father and also Cricket Director at St Bede's School said ‘I am extremely excited that Luke will be representing England in the test match against Bangladesh. There are two test series, five one day internationals and two 20 20s that Luke is also hoping to be part of; all part of the build up to the U19 World Cup which is to be held in February'.

Luke who also attended St Bede's Prep School was part of the St Bede's team that won the Langdale Cup this year - recognised as the U18 Sussex champions competition.
