Musical extravaganza in Belgium

Members of St Bede's Prep School Senior Choir and Orchestra enjoyed a four-day musical extravaganza in Belgium recently. Thirty children and four staff had the wonderful opportunity to perform in the stunning Cathedral in Brussels, and alongside Michaelangelo's mesmerising sculpture of ‘The Madonna and Child' in Bruges.

The two concerts drew admiring audiences and many commented on the quality of music created by ensembles and soloists alike.

Spare time was filled with many enjoyable excursions, including tours around a chocolate factory, a river-boat ride and bowling. The tour ended with many happy memories, a continuing love of musical performance and stomachs full of Belgium chocolate.
