National Schools Netball Tournament

St Bede’s Senior School’s U19 Netball team are through to the South East regional stage of the National Schools Netball Tournament, after beating Hurstpierpoint 8-7 in a nail-biting final of the Sussex round. Despite wind and rain throughout the day some superb mid court play was seen from St Bede’s players, particularly Lauren Allymohamed, Jade Barraclough and Pippa Pocock. There was also some excellent shooting from Olivia Bohac and Jelehseal Brathwaite.

The girls will be playing in the South East regional stage of the tournament in January. If the U19 team, which continues to go from strength to strength wins the regional stage, then they will go onto play the remaining school sides in the country from the north, west and east regions.
