New Composition for School

Andrew Barclay, the Director of Music at St Bede’s Senior School, has composed a new setting of the evening service for the school choir. The setting can be heard for the first time at Evensong held at Holy Trinity Church, Upper Dicker at 6:00pm on Monday, 22nd March and again at Chichester Cathedral on Wednesday, 24th March at 5:30pm.

As well as new settings of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, the text for the anthem is a setting of the ‘Prayer of St Bede, The Venerable’ written in the early part of the eighth century.
