New Director of Music

Pupils at St Bede's Prep School returned this term to welcome a new Director of Music, Colin Hughes.

After graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge, Colin worked as a freelance musician in the London area. For the past six years he has been Assistant Director of Music at Aldenham School in Hertfordshire where he taught in the senior part of the school. At Christmas the lure of the seaside became too strong to resist and he was delighted to take up his post at St Bede's Prep School.

Colin has many musical talents but particularly enjoys playing the piano, organ and violin. In March Colin will be accompanying the Chamber Choir to Norwich to sing at Norwich cathedral during their Sunday morning service.
