Taster Days

Taster Days are an excellent way of seeing all that St Bede’s has to offer and are open from the nursery years right through to Years 7 and 8.

Prospective pupils are met by the form teacher in the appropriate class year and are introduced to their ‘buddy’ – this ‘buddy’ will take them to all their classes, guide them around the school, take them to lunch and generally make them feel welcome in their classes and activities for the day.

This taster will also give the staff the opportunity to assess the pupil’s academic and social needs and also gives the pupil the opportunity to see if we are the school for them!

Prospective pupils often arrive quite daunted by the day ahead – but always leave with a smile on their face, having made new friends.

Potential boarders are encouraged to have an extended visit, incorporating an overnight stay in Meads End, our boarding house: an elegant and newly refurbished Victorian villa with stunning views of the sea.
