GCSE Examinations

Students at St Bede’s Senior School achieved an 84% grade A*-C pass rate this year and a number of students celebrated not just a fist full of A* and A GCSE passes, but also grade A passes at AS and A level. Thomas Key from Eastbourne achieved four A* and four A grades at GCSE but also won an A grade at Maths A level. Peter Butler-Way from Seaford opened his envelope to discover nine A* and one A pass at GCSE and also achieved full marks in AS English Language this year. Rebecca Chan attained 10 GCSEs at A* grade and also passed two AS level Maths units, both with a grade A. Naomi Brown from Ringmer added six GCSEs at A* and three GCSEs at A grade to the A grade result in English Language she received last week.

Amy Widdicombe from Forest Row gained six A*s and four As and Stephanie Ketley, one of St Bede’s top swimmers, currently winning top national times in her age group and who trains every day, still managed to notch up four A*s and four A grades.

Twenty four students took both English Language and English Literature a year early and between them achieved 75% A*s and As
