Cabaret Concert
Life is a Cabaret old chum……and it just gets better and better!
It is difficult to describe perfection in any concert one attends: the highest performance standards; singing of top-drawer quality; moments of spine-tingling splendour; a huge range of talent displayed and some of the finest song and jazz ballads arranged by one of the most talented big band arrangers in Britain today; although these superlatives may be used by the national press to review concerts and events at the O2 Arena, the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall or indeed the International Concert Season at the formidable Wigmore Hall, these are all descriptions of arguably the finest evening of music by the students and staff at St. Bede’s School in the last ten years. We all thought that last year’s Cabaret Concert in the Main Hall at St. Bede’s Senior School would be difficult to improve upon, but under the direction of the dynamic Director of Music, Andrew Barclay, the students and staff in the Music Department did just that. The standards were so high that the audience were in awe from beginning to end. Every performance given on the stage in the evening of Saturday, 19th November 2011 was simply superb.
