We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Director of Dance to lead the Legat School, part of the thriving St Bede’s boarding and day school in East Sussex. The St Bede’s School Trust is famous for both its breadth of curriculum and its range of co-curricular activities, both of which provide an environment where students quickly discover their talents and flourish.

St Bede’s aims to provide a dance programme for those students who are highly talented and have aspirations to pursue dance vocationally whilst, at the same time, providing those students with a strong academic education.

The successful candidate should have a background in professional dance and hold recognised dance qualifications in classical ballet. A thorough knowledge of dance degree courses and the ability to prepare students for these courses is essential. Familiarity with A Level Dance is also required. The right person should have drive, energy and a proven track record in leadership, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a large team of professional dance specialists.
