We are seeking a leader to inspire and drive forward our large English Department. The right candidate will recognise that brilliant and ambitious exam results are crucial, but that the impact of the department upon the school’s cultural and pedagogical life, and the extent to which students and teachers flourish and thrive under their leadership, will be paramount.

This post carries a substantial salary, well above national pay scales, and will recognise the successful candidate’s excellence and commitment to achieving the very highest standards. Thus, an outstanding salary will be available for an outstanding person.
