E-Safety
At St Bede’s we acknowledge and embrace the ever-changing technologies that our students have at their disposal and echo the sentiments of Dr Tanya Byron (Byron review 2010):
New technologies are integral to the lives of all children, young people and their parents. They inspire children to be creative, communicate and learn. It is essential that children and young people tap into the potential of the digital world if they are to enjoy their childhood and succeed in life.
With such access to information and ease of communication comes the responsibility from students to be aware of the safe practices involved with online activity. Whilst we strive to ensure that our students and the parent body remain informed about safe practices, it is ultimately the responsibility of all users to ensure that they conduct themselves in a safe and appropriate manner.
This page will be regularly updated with informative links. Please also feel free to contact Mr Michael Krause michael.krause@stbedesschool.org, the E-Safety co–ordinator should you wish to discuss anything.
