Transport

The Transport Department runs 19 mini-buses and six coaches to transfer our 530 day pupils to and from School six days a week and covering an approximate twenty mile radius, from as far as Brighton/Hove, Haywards Heath, Forest Row, Tunbridge Wells, Hurst Green, Battle and Hastings.

The department also covers all the transport requirements for all afternoon and evening activities, sports fixtures, school trips and airport transfers. The mini-buses are looked after in our own purpose built workshop and all service and safety inspection work is carried out in-house. There is a staff of over twenty personnel, including a full time manager and a full time mechanic.

7pm Bus Service – Pilot Extended

You will recall that we introduced a pilot, four route, limited stop, bus service departing Senior School at 7pm. The service supports our initiative to encourage day students to remain at School after teaching or activities have finished to take part in supervised prep sessions or other planned activities (eg sport, drama, music) which finish too late to utilise the 4.50pm bus departure.

We have decided to continue the pilot scheme for the whole of the Spring Term 2012. If you are an existing user of this service, we have written separately to confirm you wish to continue.
