Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
In mid-November, after much hard work and rehearsing at home and school, Year 4 performed their play, Roald Dahl's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The play, based on the premise that Snow White falls in with a group of unlucky, gambling jockeys, was full of comedy and great singing. Standout performances from Loren Standish and Elise Sutherland as the evil queen, and super dancing from Sacha Barber and Finian Hackett, as well as many other strong performances, really helped the audience get into the mood. The energy and commitment shown by all the children was impressive, especially given the large amount of words to learn, as well as many songs. The children got a huge amount from it with many children exceeding their expectations of what they could achieve, when rehearsals began. Most of all, they enjoyed it and this came across in a lively and action packed performance.
