SportsAid award for Sophie

St Bede’s Sophie Rudge has just been awarded £500 to go towards her training costs, by SportsAid. SportsAid is a charity that works with the National Governing Bodies of sport to help recognise and support talented young sports people.

Sophie, who is in the first year at the Senior School, is one of the youngest members of the England Football U15 squad and certainly the youngest goalkeeper.

The award has been sponsored by the supermarket chain ASDA and during the summer holidays Sophie will have the chance to work with her local ASDA store to raise extra funds.
