St Bede's School gains more success in Badminton

St Bede’s Prep School pupils Amber and Adam Lam, along with Senior School student Jacky Cheung took part in the U15 Eastbourne Open Sussex Tournament. With the event being hosted in the familiar setting of the Prep School sports hall, this was a great opportunity for St Bede’s pupils to go for victory.

Adam, only 11-years-old, won the individual U15 Boys title 15-9 in the final, whilst Amber, aged 13 won the U15 Girls singles title. Both went through the tournament unbeaten. This was a great result for both of the Lams as they were playing well out of their age groups.

Adam and Jacky partnered each other in the Boys U15 doubles tournament for the first time and won all their games on route to the final, loosing the final in a close match 15-12. This was a fantastic result for Jacky as this was his first tournament in the UK. He also reached the quarter final in the singles.
