St Bede's Success in Sussex Soccer Sixes

St Bede’s Soccer 1st Xl were triumphant on Wednesday at the Sussex 6’s.

They came through their group stage undefeated and progressed through to the semi-finals where they beat Varndean College 1 – 0 with a Larry Egunjobi strike.
The final was a tense affair but Larry Egunjobi again scored late on to secure a 1 – 0 win against Steyning the hosts. The team never looked in trouble throughout the day and did not concede a goal with resolute defending by Nii Ollennu, James Johnson and Duncan Brown whilst always looking a threat with the pace of Jon Ngengo, Thibault Bain and Jay Amin. Valuable contributions were also made by Auyryn Lake Edwards and Solomon March to round off a great day for the squad.
