St Bede’s win Hurst 6 a-side Tournament

St Bede’s have won the U11 annual 6 a-side cricket tournament held at Hurstpierpoint College, which, with teams coming from all over Sussex, is always very competitive.

During the group stages St Bede’s beat St Andrew’s by 11 runs with Wooten top scoring. During the second group game St Bede’s played Hurstpierpoint College and won by 14 runs, Wootten again top scored with 26 and Gaylor doing a fine job in the bowling department taking 4 wickets.

In the final St Bede’s met St Christopher’s in a highly competitive game which saw St Bede’s run out on top winning by 2 runs. Again Carter and Wootten got the team off to a great start with them scoring 18 and 24 respectively.

The squad used was Wootten, Graves, Trenamen, Carter, Gayler, Fricker, Capt, Pantrey.
