Recruitment Policy

We believe that our staff are fundamental to the success of our courses and for this reason, we operate a stringent recruitment and selection process to find the best possible people to work on our programmes.

We are looking for staff who are organised, adaptable, reliable and co-operative and for those who have the ability to work professionally as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy, fast-paced and sometimes quite challenging Summer School environment.

Our goal is to give students an educational, culturally-enriching and memorable summer experience in a safe and supervised setting and we are looking to employ staff who are willing to accept this responsibility and who have the necessary wide-ranging skills and highest levels of commitment to help us achieve this.

Our recruitment and selection policy:

a) Is fair and consistent

b) Is non-discriminatory on the grounds of sex, race, age, religion, disability or sexual orientation

c) Conforms to statutory regulations and agreed best practice

Interview Policy

If you are selected for interview, please note that our policy is to carry out a personal interview at our Head Office or in London. We are only able to offer telephone interviews if we are experiencing a shortage of applications for a particular position.

All candidates applying for senior positions will be interviewed personally, either separately or together, by at least 2 members of the Head Office Senior Team.

All successful applications for Centre Director will involve a rigorous personal interview followed by a 2-day pre-selection training session to confirm 100% suitability for this pivotal role.
