Discover Cambridge
Discover Cambridge is based at Homerton College, which is part of the University of Cambridge and is situated on the edge of this beautiful City, whose academic tradition began as long ago as 1209. Cambridge is in East Anglia, a rural part of England yet only about 50 miles / 80 kilometres north east of London. Homerton is one of the most attractive colleges in Cambridge, with a mixture of old and new buildings set in spacious wooded grounds.

StudentsThis is an exclusive programme with up to 90 students per week from different countries. AccommodationStudent accommodation is entirely in single rooms, which are located in various College boarding houses. All accommodation is conveniently located on campus, so it is close to the teaching rooms and all facilities. Some of the single rooms have en-suite facilities. ProgrammeLessons take place in the mornings and afternoons and there is a full social programme (optional) of organised activities, events and trips in the evenings and at weekends in which students are encouraged to get involved. LessonsThere are 25 hours of tuition per week and lessons include English Skills (10 hours per week), Language Workshops (5 hours per week) and Skills for Work (10 hours per week). |
FacilitiesFacilities include several dining spaces, some common areas, sports fields and attractive grounds, and the use of a sports complex nearby. ServicesWi-fi is available at Homerton College. Note that students will need to bring their own laptops to access wi-fi. Washing machines and driers are available for students to do their own laundry. CareSt Bede’s staff live on-site to provide the necessary care and supervision. There is access to medical care if students are sick. |
