Vinehall ages 10 to 14

Vinehall School is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty just outside the village of Robertsbridge, which is located close to the small town of Battle and not far from the coastal resort of Hastings. The centre is housed in a traditional country house constructed in 1830 which boasts many modern facilities. The campus, which is surrounded by stunningcountryside, extends over 47 acres / 19 hectares. With its secluded, safe location, Vinehall is the ideal place for young teenagers.

Students

Up to 80 students per week from different countries.

Accommodation

Bedrooms are cheerful and spacious with 4 to 10 beds per room and there is one very large girls’ room with 12 beds which is very popular. Bedrooms have a bed and often a bedside cabinet and most storage space is located in large wardrobes in the main corridor of the boarding house. Bathrooms are shared.

Programme

There is a full programme including lessons and a wide range of sports, activities, clubs and Sports Academy
options to choose from. There is evening social entertainment and there are two excursions per week.

Lessons

There are 20 hours of lessons per week (4 hours per day) including English Skills, Language Activities and Project Lessons. Beginners follow an intensive English course.


Sports facilities

Sport facilities include tennis courts,
sports hall, swimming pool, golf
course, adventure playground, astro-
turf, playing fields and drama theatre.

Services

Computer suite for access to internet
(filtered) and students will have their
own Vinehall School email account.
Student common room with
sofas, music, board games, table
tennis,TV, etc. Laundry is done for
students at least twice each week.

Care

St Bede’s staff live in the same
houses as the students and care for
them 24 hours a day. The House
Parent is responsible for all students
in each boarding house. There is
access to medical care if students
are sick.
