  • Language Activities are led by the teachers with the help of the Activities Staff or specialist teaching staff
  • The intensive English programme for beginners does not include language activities
  • Examples of possible language activities are: Choreographing the St Bede's summer dance, Cookery, Designing a magazine, Designing a St Bede's staff comic strip, Designing a webpage, Designing and making a model, Doing a Power Point presentation, Fashion design, Making a St Bede's video diary, Producing a drama sketch, Writing a summer song and music, Writing the St Bede's Buzz (school newsletter)

Project Lessons

Project Lessons enable students to improve their English and learning skills as well as prepare students for the Wednesday excursion.

  • Projects are connected to the Wednesday excursion and give students the necessary history and background to make their trips more meaningful and enjoyable with follow-up activities.
  • Students participate in group work and activities before the excursion (such as research or background reading) and then after the visit (such as have a debate, writing a newspaper article).
  • Project lessons are taught and supervised by a different teacher from the English Skills lesson.
