Social Events & Excursions
Social Events
The course includes a full programme of organised social events every evening in which students are encouraged to get involved.
- Social events are optional but students are encouraged to take part.
- A variety of activities, events and trips will be organised, many of which will involve going into London.
- St Bede's accompany students in all organised activities and events.
- The cost of all organised activities, events and trips is included in the price.
- If students choose not to take part in certain organised activities, they will have free time that they can to rest, relax at the College, study or visit London.
- There are no scheduled lessons on Friday afternoons.
- There is an organised meal for students and staff every Friday evening and students are encouraged to attend.
- Evening social events may include: Bowling, Cinema Trip, Covent Garden experience, Gallery or Museum, London Eye by night, Musical, Nightclub experience, Open-top London bus tour, Pub Night with live music, Salsa Night, Tennis tournament, Walking tour of the West-End, Westfield London Shopping Centre.
Excursions
Excursions take place on Saturdays and Sundays to popular tourist attractions and places of cultural interest in London and the south-east. Attendance is optional but recommended.
- Excursions are organised by St Bede's staff who also accompany students during the visit.
- The cost of all excursions, including entry tickets and transport, is included in the price.
- Excursions can have a cultural or historical value or they can simply be to popular tourist attractions or sight-seeing.
- Excursion may include trips to: Bath (visit to Roman baths), Brighton (Royal Pavilion), Buckingham Palace, Cambridge or Oxford (College tour & punting), Houses of Parliament, Leeds or Windsor Castle, London Museums and Art galleries, London Zoo or Aquarium, River Boat Cruise, Stratford upon Avon, The Tower or London or London Dungeon, Theme Park, Westminster Abbey or St Paul's Cathedral.
