The Enormous Crocodile
Parents and specially invited VIPs were invited to join Year 3 on a journey through the jungle to the biggest, brownest, muddiest river in Africa, when they performed Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile, with songs written by Old Bedian, Nathan Waring.
Amid a gorgeous set, to which many of the Year 6 and 8 children helped contribute during their art lessons with Ms Winterbottom and Miss Brookes, the children presented the musical tale of the ‘Enormous Croc’s’ clever tricks and nasty plans as he sought to finally gobble up a tasty child for lunch.
Only the quick thinking of Trunky the Elephant and his jungle friends finally saved the day and the Enormous Crocodile (played superbly by Jonah Bowden and Oliver Sherfield) met the end he deserved - as narrator, Lorne Wight, so succinctly put it, he was sizzled up like a sausage!.
