The Friends of St Bede's Spring Ball fundraiser

The Friends of St Bede’s Prep School recently held their Spring Ball at The Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne.

The Royal Marsden Children and Adolescent Unit in Sutton, Surrey has been the Friends chosen charity for the year and on the night this last event raised a staggering £9873. Later on another £354 was raised to bring the total to a fantastic £10,227 for the unit. Helen Pearson, a member of the nursing staff from the Royal Marsden was presented with the cheque.

Throughout the evening the St Bede’s Senior School Band entertained the guests along with Sam Jones, a former student and talented young magician, who demonstrated his close-up magic. The auction and raffle were expertly hosted by former Sussex cricketer and St Bede’s parent Neil Lenham.

The whole evening was a huge success and enjoyed by all. The Friends of St Bede’s would like to thank parents, staff and guests for their generosity throughout the current year’s fundraising.
