The Goblin Next Door - Year 3 play

On Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th May, Year 3 took their parents and other guests on a magical journey to Fairy Dell where they learned the importance of being a good neighbour through the children’s colourful production of Fran Carpenter’s ‘The Goblin Next Door’.

After moving in to the best house in Fairy Dell without paying, ruining baby Bunches’ birthday party, throwing his rubbish all over the place and refusing to give any money to the Fairy Benevolent Fund, the Goblin Man (superbly portrayed by Bruno Dickie and James Sampson) finally pushes the good folk of Fairy Dell too far when he ruins the annual Fairy Dell Ball. Only the timely intervention of Squeak the Squirrel (played by Luke Muschialli and Georgina Brown) with some much needed advice on how to get along with others, prevents disaster and helps to bring about a happy ending.

Full of humour, wonderful costumes and lively songs, sung wonderfully by the entire cast, the production was enjoyed immensely by all who were lucky enough to see it.
