Visit from Councillor Tutt

St Bede's Prep Year 4 pupils had a great start to the week when they the leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, Councillor Tutt, visited St Bede's to talk to the children about the role of Eastbourne Council. They even had a mini election with ballot papers prepared by Councillor Tutt, using pens from the Council made from recycled car parts and Mrs Fuller as the Returning Officer.

Councillor Tutt was very impressed with all the challenging questions that the children asked him. His departing message, in answer to a question from Mrs Pavey, was that the children could really help their local community and global community by recycling as many items as possible, at home and at school.
