Year 8 visit to the Senior School
The Year 8 pupils from St Bede’s Prep visited the Senior School just before half term to take part in a series of workshops.
Several children spent the day in the ceramics studio creating a lamp base out of clay and some lovely intricate work resulted.
The children who opted for Animal Management went to Drusillas Zoo in the morning and spent the afternoon learning about and handling the many types of creatures in the animal house at the Senior School.
The ‘Master Chef’ option was very popular. The children started by making bread dough and producing several different types of products including pizzas and Chelsea buns.
One group spent the day in the recording studio writing a song and making a CD of it. Another group made a film in the Media department. The final group spent their time in the Sports Hall having expert tuition in various different sports.
The children had a fantastic day learning about the variety of subjects that can be studied at the Senior School.
