Yolanda King - ISF Table Tennis 2010 World Schools Championships

Yolanda King from St Bede’s Senior School and the England U18 Table Tennis team, recently travelled to the Czech Republic to compete in the ISF Table Tennis 2010 World Schools Championships.

Competing against 11 other teams Yolanda and her team beat off competition from Belgium, Greece and Israel in three days of team events and two days of singles. Slovakia were the opposition in the playoffs for 3rd and 4th position with England emerging victorious 4-3 to send them through to the semi finals. The semi finals saw tough competition from China and in a close nail biting game China just had the edge and Yolanda and her team took home a fantastic third place.
