Young sports personality of the year

Two St Bede’s boys have been nominated for the Kent and Sussex Courier Young Sports Personality of the Year and the School’s swim team have been shortlisted for Young Team.

This season, swimmer Mike Faber has been building an impressive portfolio of national times for both freestyle and backstroke whilst 15-year-old show-jumper Louis Simmons has had the England call on several occasions.

The St Bede’s swimming team have already notched up a series of regional and national championship qualifying times this season and will be entering the ‘serious’ end of the season in a very strong position.

Kent and Sussex Courier readers are being invited to vote for the various categories, with voting closing on January 30th. The winners will be invited to a presentation dinner on Tuesday, 24th February.
