Prep Scholarships

St Bede's Prep School offers a range of Scholarships and Awards, for entry in years 3,4,5,6 and 7. The value of these awards can be up to 50% of the basic day or boarding fees. Closing date for applications for Scholarships to St Bede's Preparatory School is Friday 1st February 2008.

CONDITIONS OF SCHOLARSHIPS
It is expected that the Scholarship will be held for the full period of a candidate’s career at St Bede’s Prep School, but will be reviewed annually. The School reserves the right to withdraw it if, in the opinion of the Headmaster, the pupil is performing significantly below expectation. Candidates will be judged on their merits and the School reserves the right not to make an award if there are no candidates of sufficient merit.

Scholarships in our Senior School are regarded as separate and pupils can sit exams for these in Year 8 of the Prep School. A Prep School Scholarship is not automatically transferable to our Senior School.

Scholars are expected to present themselves as role models within the community and a Scholarship will be withdrawn if the recipient’s performance falls below the standard expected.

BURSARIES FOR FINANCIAL HELP
Bursaries can be made available in exceptional and deserving cases. All are means tested and parents are asked to complete a Financial Circumstances Form. The Governors, at their discretion, do allow discounts on full fees for brothers or sisters of boys or girls currently at St Bede’s. Discretionary discounts can also be made on boarding fees for the children of those serving in the Armed Forces.
