Tennis
Tennis at St Bede’s Prep School has enjoyed much success over the years, in age groups ranging from under 8 through to under 13, boys and girls. Tennis is played throughout the year in the Sports Hall and on outdoor courts.
Whether your child would like to learn to play tennis to enjoy a family doubles at the weekend, or train to be a top player competing in the national tournaments, St Bede’s can offer a programme to suit any child at any level.
Currently we have four girls in different age groups playing for Sussex, and one girl playing Nationally. Equally we have two hundred young tennis players learning to play the game with many of those competing regularly in the local network of tournaments.
St Bede’s has a team of three L.T.A qualified coaches, who offer a programme of tennis including individual lessons, group sessions, squads and the popular Sunday practice mornings with parents and children. Coaching starts from 7.30 in the morning for early risers and continues throughout the day until late. Tennis is taught from the age of three upwards.
