Headmaster’s XI v Lashings World XI

The finishing touches to the landscaping of St Bede’s Senior School’s new Multi-Purpose Hall were completed over the holidays and in time for the first big event that will be hosted in the hall – The Headmaster’s XI v Lashings World XI.Amongst those in the Lashings Squad for the St Bede’s game are Richie Richardson, Henry Olonga, Chris Harris and Phil DeFreitas and Alvin Kallicharran.
This week Alvin who is also the Lashings team manager, visited St Bede’s to confirm the match with the School’s Director of Cricket, former England player and Sussex Captain Alan Wells. He said: ‘ We are really looking forward to coming to St Bede’s – this new hall is such a fantastic venue for the lunch and if the weather is unkind and the match is cancelled we can just put up the cricket nets in the far side of the hall and still have a great afternoon’.
Said Alan Wells: ‘It will mainly be our 1st XI facing the Lashings legends and they are very excited by the prospect.
The match takes places on Friday, 27th June, starting at 2.30pm. Tables for 10 are still available for the lunch and anyone interested should contact Marion Kemp on 01323 843252.
