Grandparents at the Prep
09 June 2008
Last week on a beautiful hot day we welcomed over 180 parents and grandparents to St Bede’s Prep School who enjoyed an afternoon with their children and grandchildren.
After a welcome drink and a look at the art exhibition in the chapel, the grandparents were taken on a tour to see the School in action followed by a barbeque lunch on the school field.
During lunch parents and grandparents were entertained by Pre-Prep children dancing on the school field and musicians from the main school. This was followed by a parents/grandparents v pupils cricket match – a thoroughly enjoyable match which the pupils won by 5 wickets.
The day finished with tea, strawberries and cream and a further dance display by Year 6, 7 and 8 girls.
'Thank you to all at the school for a lovely afternoon. It was lovely for us and our grandson to see his schoolwork and we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch, the entertainment and the general ambiance. Thank you again for inviting us'.
