St Bede’s Senior School students celebrated another year of good results with 66.5% A-B grades and a 98% overall pass rate.Subjects achieving particularly high A-B grades included English, Mathematics, Art and Media Studies. Students taking BTEC courses in Sport and Music also did very well with six out of 11 Sport candidates receiving a Double Distinction – the equivalent of two A levels.
Head of School, Alan Chambers from Hailsham is off to read Chemistry at Oxford after achieving four A grades in Sciences and Geography, whilst Paddy McFadden from Eastbourne, who was a pupil at Bede’s Prep School before moving onto the Senior School, will be reading Politics and French at Bristol having achieved three grade As and a grade B.
Dancing her way to a Physics course at Imperial College is Josie Bowler who achieved grade As in Physics and in Dance as part of the School’s Legat Professional Dance course. In all Josie achieved three grade As and a B.
Will Anderson from Lewes gained three grade As which will take him to Edinburgh to study Theology and Religious Studies and Beccie Barrie from Bexhill gained three grade As and a B. Daniel Barnard’s four grade As will take him to Cambridge to read Engineering.
