GCSE results 2008

Maths, French, Spanish and Art were the subjects which really shone through in the St Bede’s Senior School results this year, with all of the four subjects achieving excellent A*- B grade statistics. Three St Bede’s students, Emma Roberts , Nicholas Carter and George Vernon-Hunt, were also amongst the top ten in the country for photographyTen students in their first year of GCSE studies sat English Literature and English Language a year early and achieved 13A*s and 7A grades between them. Two, Jordan Walsh and Peter Butler-Way won full marks on all the examined modules.
Overall the School’s students achieved 83% A* - C grades. Sophia Booth from Eastbourne achieved eight A*s and two A grades, whilst Chris Laughton also from Eastbourne celebrated 5A*s and 4As. Laila Dowse from Bexhill was thrilled with her results – six A*s and six As, as was Ben Noble from Selmeston who achieved 5A*s and 3As.
Doreen Namugumya who joined St Bede’s two years ago from the Kabubbu orphanage school in Uganda gained two grade Bs and 6Cs – a fantastic result.
